IDT 590: Current Topics in Instructional Design and Technology

Course Description
This course examines some of the current topics in IDT such as accessibility and universal design, learning environments, and project management. Students will analyze issues affecting current and future implementations of instructional design. Current research on topics IDT will be emphasized.

COURSE GOALS
1. This course will help the students to have not only a growing awareness of ability, but to actively pursue ways to make their designs more accessible to more people with the realization that space and accessibility matter.
2. This course will help the students to be able to do independent investigation, research, and evaluation on new trends and ideas in ID. (i.e., lifelong learners)
3. This course will help students learn new and useful methods of collaboration with peers, abut also how to better communicate with diverse groups of people in order to get things done as a team. (i.e. project management)
