This is being undertaken by GBD Medicaid during a restructuring, leadership is requiring designers to develop engaging content with a faster turnaround. The learners have an invested interest in learning these techniques and discovering how they can collaborate with more efficiency.

Do the learners’ have non-instructional needs (e.g., rest, food, safety) that must be met so that they may focus on the instructional activity?

This training is flipped and virtual in nature. It is important that the participants’ calendars are marked in advance as busy (for collective and independent work) so they’re attention is not split between venues. Also, the facilitator needs to convey to the learners’ clear expectations for participation.

What will make the instructions effective, efficient, and appealing for the target audience of learners?

The material is laid out well with clear instruction. The majority of material is flipped in nature. This is training that will help the designers stay relevant within the company.

How has the instructional designer or design team planned for accommodation of culturally and physically diverse learners?

The learning objects were created to be responsive and UDL compliant.
